About the Northern Ceramic Society

Members of the NCS also enjoy:

The NCS Journal, published annually, free to members, featuring in-depth illustrated papers on specialist ceramic topics with the general aim of providing information not previously published elsewhere.

A Summer Visit, usually including privileged access to a public or private collection of ceramics.

Weekend Seminars, once or twice a year, presenting specialist lectures to illustrate a chosen theme. These Seminars are, where appropriate, organised in association with a Museum or other body, and a course fee is payable.

A Ceramics Summer School, featuring a four or five day programme of specialist lectures, visits and discussions centred on a particular aspect of ceramic history. Both residential and non-residential places are offered, and a course fee is payable.

NCS Exhibition Catalogues & Research Papers, many of which have become standard works of reference and collectors’ items in their own right.

Each of these membership benefits is covered in more detail in the individual pages of this new website. Click on the menu links on the left hand side of each page to access them.
