Ceramics in a Changing World
18th to 20th Century Revolutions
Revolution takes many forms, but it always signifies dramatic and wide-reaching changes. In the world of ceramics, revolutions can be sparked by groundbreaking technical advancements, shifts in societal structures, or political upheavals. The NCS Summer Seminar will explore this theme with discussions of early English porcelain developments, the changing fortunes of country pottery and the celebrations of revolutionaries at home and abroad.
Join us as we examine the intersection of ceramics and revolutions across centuries.
